Well at least you are having some success. The frequency tables appeared to be necessary since it wasn't clear whether the channels I was receiving through the Evolution TV box where perfectly tuned and using the exact frequency. Evolution TV attempts to tune automatically, and several months on, I believe it is doing this accurately and correctly. However, the problem remains, the signal directly from the wall mounted box (by passing the Telewest box) is grainy and poor quality. My only explanation is that the Telewest box does something to 'clean' the signal since my the all the channels on my television screen are crisp and, well, awesome. Why can't I do the same on my computer screen? It is frustrating and wish it were simpler.

I suspect I 'could' get Evolution TV working with the Telewest box, but then I am dependent on having to control the Telewest box using an Infra-red box connected to my Mac or something. Far from ideal really. Like you, I'm interested if anyone has found a way to control the Telewest Box.

You think this would be easy.... and undoubtedly, it should be. Maybe we are in the tangle of Telewest protecting its business? Thinking about it, if the TV signals were 'clean' coming straight from the wall socket, we wouldn't need the Telewest boxes at all (except for subscription channels, of which I have none)
