Hi Jonathan, I had a look through a few of the videos and was reminded of an old debate at Ultralab. Apart from the technical skills, what did the pupils involved learn from the activity? I would argue that they problem solved, refined their solutions as they worked iteratively through a process, developed their ability to be creative, and practiced working collaboratively.

My question is, to what extent is it desirable to structure an activity around such a day that encourages 'meta' level thinking.
