I love the idea that 1,49 £ is expensive. Think of it: it's actually the price of an espresso, it's useful and it doesn't make you feel like smoking.
But you are right, though, we don't really know why, but it does feel too expensive. Or too much hassle. Anyway, a month later, I haven't found a solution for the k610i...
