Gina's Endometriosis Fund Raising Barbeque

Gina Revill organised a fantastic fund raising event for the Endometriosis Society which took place yesterday afternoon till late at Lambourne End Farm.

A good friend, Ian Terrell ran the charity auction - it was excellent fun watching people bidding for items, some of the more popular items included a jar of Scrumpy cider, electric guitar, wine, scooter and a sheep's skin. The whole event raised £600 - well done Gina! A quiz night is being organised for early in the new year.

Thanks Jonathan! We had a hideous butterfly handbag which we almost threw out. What we didn't bank on was little Jameela who loves butterflies - she is 5 and made her first auction bid! We sold it for 20p. :-)

I was overwhelmed by people's generosity. I am having a party in Whitechapel before Christmas and I'll work harder to get pretty single girls there :-)

I was amazed to at what people brought along to auction, and perhaps more, what people bid for. However, when it comes to charity, it can bring the best out in people. I'm more than satisfied with my tennis rackets... anyone for a game?

...as for pretty single girls, bring 'em along. :-)

Some things never change, :-) Get in there my son.

This is very good Gina. I never imagined that such huge amounts could be raised during any fund raising event. You know what I am going to organize a fund raising event myself. Congratulations on your success.

Dear group members

Invitation to Endometriosis Patient Market Research Study

Datamonitor, a healthcare research firm in New York, is currently conducting research to help identify unmet needs of endometriosis treatment and also help drive improvements in endometriosis patient care.

We would like to invite endometriosis patients who have experience with either Lupron or Depo Provera/Depo SubQ Provera to participate in this market research study.

Through our research, we are seeking to understand patients’ perceptions of their treatment as well as responses to a profile of a potential new product.

We would like to invite any interested patients to participate in a brief online survey (requiring approx. 20-30 minutes) during the weeks of October 16th and October 23rd. Patients must meet the following criteria:

· Women aged 18-55 years, residing in the US

· Diagnosed with endometriosis within the last 3 years

· Experience with either Lupron or Depo Provera/Depo-SubQ Provera

OR patients who have not yet received any treatment for their endometriosis

Participating patients will receive $100.

If you meet the criteria outlined above and you are interested in participating in this study, please contact Datamonitor at the email address or telephone number below:
