Perkins 3D animated construction of a Perkins Diesel Engine Screensaver

One of the biggest draws to my blog site has been the Deutz Screensaver which shows the construction and operation of a car motor engine. I posted the animation because of the educational benefit it brought to the Scouts who were learning all about car engines. In fact, we stripped down a car engine to its component parts. What we weren't able to show was how the engine operated, which is where the screensaver did it so wonderfully well.

Thanks to Yoseph Santoz, a reader of this blog, he pointed me to another screensaver which shows the construction and working of a Diesel Engine. Rather than using drawn artwork, this screensaver appears to be using 3D representations of the actual parts. It's amazing. Thanks Yoseph!

This version is compatible with Windows only, although there is an mpg movie contained within the zip archive for playback using QuickTime on a Macintosh or Windows PC.

I can't get this to work. I have Windows vista and have tried downloading both the full and regular screen options but it will not work. After I double click on the icon to run the application the screen goes white and nothing happens. The mouse cursor is still visible, and if I right click I am given the option to adjust parameters, but that is all. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Ik kan niet dit ertoe brengen om te werken. Ik heb het uitzicht van Vensters en geprobeerd downloadend zowel de volledige als regelmatige het schermopties maar het zal niet werken. Nadat ik op het pictogram tweemaal klik om de toepassing in werking te stellen gaat het scherm wit en niets gebeurt. De muiscurseur is nog zichtbaar, en als ik met de rechtermuisknop aanklik word ik gegeven de optie om parameters aan te passen, maar dat is allen. Kunt u alstublieft vertellen me wat ik verkeerd doe?

Ich kann dieses nicht erhalten, um zu arbeiten. Ich habe Windows Vista und habe versucht, die vollen und regelmäßigen Schirmwahlen herunterzuladen, aber es funktioniert nicht. Nachdem ich klicke an die Ikone, um die Anwendung laufen zu lassen mich verdoppele, die der Schirm Weiß geht und nichts geschieht. Der Mäuse-Cursor ist- und wenn I Recht noch sichtbar - mich anklicken werden gegeben die Wahl, zum von Parametern zu justieren, aber alles das ist. Kannst du mir bitte erklären, was ich falsch tue?

do we make the water as fuel for engine? because it have H2 & O2. both are having the tendency to fire...............

I am a lecture in computers but we have 11 different trades at our college in Namibia. I can tell you the diesel mech's love the screen saver and I just want to thank you.

love the screen savers!

I wonder will someone ever do the wankel rotor as a screen saver?

Cause they are a complete different breed to any diesel or petrol combustion engine

hi there. im an appy here in S-A and i just want to thank you for this screen saver. it helps ALOT. there is just 1 small problem with the steps of putting in the pistons and ceankshaft. yet i know you only posted the download. thanks yet again
